Every system is perfectly designed to get the results it gets. We’re intentional about designing everything — from visuals to code to words to processes — to shape the quality of our work, our opportunities, and our lives.

Adopt New Realities

The world is always changing. We constantly rediscover what’s true and possible now. And we learn, experiment, and evolve as new tools, technologies, and tastes emerge, and embrace them long before others even understand them.

Use Your Headlights

Keep. Moving. Forward. We’re not always going to know the whole plan or have all the details when making decisions. We navigate ambiguity by getting started and doing our best with what we know now, then learning and adjusting along the way.

Strive for Elegance

Time is precious for people with purpose. We aim to convey essential information with the right amount of communication so we can focus on what matters. Be concise, lead with the main point, arrive on time, and avoid overthinking.

Seek Out Shadows

We rise to the level of the limits we accept. When presented with two suboptimal options, we aren’t afraid to pose a third way. Or fourth. Or fifth. Many frame things as black or white. It’s either this or that, they say. We say that’s weak thinking. Many things can be true at once.

Choose the Future

There are no rules, only consequences — most of which are actually nil (nothing happens). We can only move up by making big asks and taking bigger bets. Be willing to believe what others won’t believe and have the courage to be right before it’s obvious.

Rally Others On

Every day we deal with hard challenges that can rattle confidence and cloud judgment. Negativity is crushing in this environment and isn’t tolerated. Talk up to others, assume good intentions, and remember we’re all mostly making it up as we go.

Make it Matter

Most simply aim to solve the problem, we solve the potential. We go beyond “what is” and build for “what could be.” There are no right answers, only wrong ones. Most of the walls holding us in are paper-thin so the trick is to simply run through them.
